Thank you for joining us at PRSA Travel and Tourism Conference!

Hi, it’s Chip. I had a great time attending the PRSA Travel and Tourism Conference in Lexington, KY last week.
Dan Roam’s keynote called “The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas With Pictures” was really great! The 6×6 method for sharing visuals to solve a problem really resonated with me. Jillian Braun shared an awesome picture on Twitter to illustrate the points.

On the second day of the conference, I kept the treats cool for you! These were absolutely delicious and I loved meeting so many people throughout the conference. Some even came up to me because of my Tweeting… HAH!

However, the keynote speaker that really resonated with me was on the last day. With Extreme Arts and Sciences (EASCI), Randy Harrington’s presentation brought the entire conversation of the conference to a new way of thinking about customer interaction. He put a slide up with two words: Synchronous and Asynchronous. He indicated that success in the marketplace is now built on moving to the Asynchronous model of doing business. He said “Flying on even your most favorite airline with 200 million miles under your belt gets you no special treatment. Sit here! Wait! We lost your bag, too bad!” Asynchronous is the model that puts control of your experience with a service or product in your hands.

I spoke with him after the lecture and explained how CleanPix has moved to this model and in the past two years starting with some serious soul searching came up with a whole new model of our service. I said that CleanPix has an all new streamlined and simplified workflow designed to give the power to customize the management of brand media HD Videos, Hi-Res Photos, Logos, Audio, PDF’s etc. squarely in the hands of the administrator as well as giving the end-user more autonomy in their searching and access for these assets. Instead of CleanPix designing a service that locks the administrator into a set way of working, CleanPix administrators have the freedom to customize their metadata, search fields and means of delivery of assets. They are able to open access to assets or dial up the security. Randy was intrigued and asked me to write a brief on our process. Two years ago, I remember being called to the home office to discuss what CleanPix needed to do to be a leader in the digital asset management (DAM) industry in 2015 and beyond. The conversation basically started on The Back of A Napkin! I would invite you to check out the all new Asynchronous version of CleanPix in 2015.

Here’s a few more pictures from my time in Lexington. It was wonderful to meet and share blue water sailing stories with Marc Apter!

We are looking forward to the 2016 conference in Houston!
